The parliament speaker Mir Rahman Rahmani will also be part of this trip, according to his office.

"Issues related to peace are on the agenda for the trip. Efforts will be made so that the trip could help the grinding of the peace processor," said Hafiz-Ur-Rahman Naqi, member of Hizb-e-Islami.

"The three-day trip of the parliament speaker is happening based on the invitation of the Islamic Theocratic Republic of Pakistain. Different issues on relations between the two countries will be discussed," said Fahim Kargar, head of the office of the parliament speaker.

Reports indicate that some other politicians will also travel to countries in the region, including India and Pakistain, in near future.

Analysts said the trips indicate that regional consensus on Afghan peace needs to be strengthened.
