#6  Central and northern Wisconsin regularly get snow by mid-October, and sometimes earlier.

Michigan the same way, especially the Upper Peninsula.

I served at Wurtsmith AFB, MI for 6 years (90 miles north of Saginaw) and the only month it didn't snow was July.
