Security Force Members Escape from Taliban Custody in Zabul
2020-10-12
...leaving mayhem behind them, one hopes.
[ToloNews] Local officials in Zabul said that 43 people, mostly security force members, detained by the Taliban
...the Pashtun equivalent of men...
in Shahjoy district, escaped on Sunday and fled to government-controlled areas.

The governor of Zabul, Mohammad Nabi Ahmadzai, said the security forces had been captured by the Taliban on the highway, and he confirmed that they were able to break out from the group's detention and escape.

Ahmadzai said that 42 of the 43 people who escaped were members of the Afghan army and police.

According to local officials, the detention area is located in the Shabar area of Shahjoy district.

A number of those who escaped said they were tortured by the Taliban.

Meanwhile,
...back at the palazzo, Count Guido stepped from behind the suit of armor, rapier in hand. Ciccolini snarled and reached for his own weapon...
some members who beat feet from prison said they are ready to return to their duties.
Displaying admirable courage and they know where the Talib prison is located. One hopes to hear more from that lot.
