Security Officials Rescue Head of Currency Exchange Union in Balkh

[KhaamaPress] The Ministry of Interior (MoI) has announced that Abdul Qayyum, the head of the currency exchange union in Balkh province, has been released from the claws of kidnappers.

Ministry front man Tariq Arian said the head of the Balkh currency exchange union had been released in a police operation.

According to Arian, the abductee was not harmed during his stay with the kidnappers.

Arian also stated that Abdul Qayyum’s abduction case is currently being investigated.

Abdul Qayyum, was kidnapped by unknown individuals three weeks ago from the Siahgard area of ​​the third district in Mazar-e-Sharif, as he was walking from his house to attend the early morning prayers.

Earlier, a number of money changers in connection with this event in Mazar-e-Sharif protested and demanded the release of Qayyum from the clutches of the kidnappers.
