Shameful moderator bias at the vice presidential debate
2020-10-08
[American Thinker] One tragedy of this election season, and all modern election seasons, is that the Democrats’ radicalism is being hidden from the American people by a complicit media.

It would have been nice, then, if Wednesday’s vice presidential debate could have been a teaching moment where light was shined on Kamala Harris’s and Joe Biden’s toxic positions. Unfortunately, moderator Susan Page’s bias made this impossible.

Page, USA Today’s Washington Bureau chief, made sure to inquire about how Judge Amy Coney Barrett’s confirmation to the Supreme Court would affect abortion, exhibiting the typical leftist obsession with prenatal infanticide. She asked Vice President Mike Pence how he thought his state of Indiana should legislate on the matter were Roe v. Wade struck down (I didn’t know he was again running for the Hoosier State’s governor). Of course, this might be a fair question.

That is, if Harris had been asked about her and Biden’s radical pro-prenatal infanticide positions. Harris supports "’abortion on demand at any time, any where [sic], and under any circumstances,’" LifeNews.com quotes president of National Right to Life Carol Tobias as stating. And both she and Biden advocate taxpayer funding of prenatal infanticide.

The point is that Pence’s and President Trump’s abortion polices align far more closely with the electorate’s wishes than does the Democrat ticket’s radicalism. But the American people couldn’t learn this truth on Wednesday — thanks, largely, to Susan Page.

That’s just the iceberg’s tip, too. This is by far the most radical Democrat presidential ticket — representing well its extremist party — to ever seek the White House.
Emphasis added.

#11  Rule #1 for all future presidential and vice-presidential debates: Two House representatives and one senator from the Democrat Party ask questions of the Republican candidate. Two House representatives and one senator from the Republican Party ask questions of the Democrat candidate.

Rule #2: Speaker of the House moderates while Democrats ask their questions. House Minority Leader moderates while Republicans ask their questions. So-called journalist moderators take a hike.

#10  When she was a prosecutor Kamal-Ho acted like a politician. Now that she's a politician, she plays the prosecutor. She's a complete failure in both roles

#2 I tuned in twice - first Harris laid all COVID deaths at their feet - CLICK.

One worry I have in this election is who older White voters will blame for Chinavirus.

Pence was a little too easy on letting Harris'/moderator's lies on this issue pass.

We all know the bulk of the deaths were NY and Jersey, followed by other blue states; if the Dems successfully pin this on Trump, then he'll lose a lot of White votes and whatever gains he's made among minorities won't make up for that.

I hope his campaign is paying very careful attention to this situation and has a strategy for it.

Otherwise...

#8  Conservatives give into this crap like Charlie Brown and Lucy Van Pelt. Put an end to the debates by saying this time 'we' select the moderators. They'll balk at their own dirty game.

#7  Stephen Miller tweet:

I can’t wait for Amy Coney Barrett hearings when interrupting a female nominee will no longer be mansplaining and sexist.

#6  The Dems should have learned from Hillary that a snippy, self riotous and condescending woman is an American turn off, we call them BFH. Double standard?

Kaine had the waiting bitch face too. As with him and Hillary!, those shopping Harris as president were likely turned off when she went total emotional and started waiving her hands around; at least I started eye rolling "Here we go again."

#3  I watched it from beginning to end. My two cents. The mistake of the moderator was she asked the questions about a topic differently for each candidate. This took away the candidates ability to debate specifics around one question. So the candidates both addressed the first question. Dumb plan by the mod.
I was a bit pissed at Pence in that he led in slowly, showing leadership I agree, but only got to the meat of the answer when his time was up. This made it look like the mod was cutting him off. He should have put the meat in the middle so the points were made.
Kamala did a lot of harm to herself. She is very smart, she is very quick, but she acted like a DA prosecuting a case. She came across as condescending, arrogant, mocking Pence at every turn. If she mocked the Vice President, how will she treat me? Then with almost every answer the world was going to end under Trump/Pence. She sewed panic on TV, Pence clued into it but was not prepped to push back, except over vaccines. The Dems should have learned from Hillary that a snippy, self riotous and condescending woman is an American turn off, we call them BFH. Double standard? Maybe, but its how America is today. Lastly was her lies, some subtle, some bold faced. Did they think the social media would not jump all over that? Lastly on her, I was surprised that Pence did not bring out her debates with Biden and her discounting debates publicly.
Pence could have done better, but Harris snatched defeat from the hands of victory...

Tuned back in 1/2 hour later when the battleax moderator calmly asserted 'scientists agree that man is causing global warming / climate change. CLICK, for good.

Why do Repub's keep putting up with this?

#1  No surprises here, murder of the unborn and now recently born (women's right to choose) is a tenet of the Democratic party.

Notice the amount of time the moderator spent on Pres. Trump's Middle East troop reductions, reductions in illegal border crossings and progress on the wall, the return of industry to the United States from overseas, the mobilization of business and industry to fight CV-19 ?

No, neither did I.
