Decorated Iraq War veteran denied community supervision, facing 5 years in prison for pot possession

#6  Are there health issues associated with pot, yes.

From what I understand though, is a lot of these war vets having mental issues are doing much better after switching from booze to pot.

I have two examples: one got off the whiskey, got motivated, went to school, and is successfully helping other combat vets. The other one is dead because he finally drank enough, as the song goes he put the bottle to his head and pulled the trigger. He is survived by wife and kids who had to live with that until the morning they didn't.

#4  Iblis, that is so true it could make you choke, except I don't think we had ever fought in Iraq yet. It would have been a Vietnam vet.

Freaking pot. Here in Michigan, it's essentially legal. The world hasn't ended. Yeah, we have a B**tch for a governor, but that's not because of pot, nor pot heads (of my friends who use pot, two of the three vote Republican). But no. Five years in prison for having a plant on your person. And then wonder why I feel conflicted when somebody burns down your police station.

If the rioters had only attacked hardened, "legitimate" targets like police stations and courthouses rather than neighborhoods, I think my opinion of them would be pretty different, to be honest.

#2  Oooooooooooo, pot possession. Such a violent, heinous act upon humanity.

It is f**king disgusting and an absolute miscarriage of justice. And, gee, from the same state Jeff "Refer Madness" Sessions is from. It's times such as this where cries for "smash the state" are justified.

#1  If he'd burned a building instead of weed, he'd be in the clear...
