Federal Officers Reportedly Kill Michael Reinoehl |
2020-09-04 |
[WWEEK] Michael Forest Reinoehl, a Portland-area man who confessed to the Aug. 29 fatal shooting of Aaron J. Danielson in downtown Portland, was reportedly killed near Lacey, Wash. tonight as federal officers moved to arrest him. Reinhoehl, 48, was a regular at downtown protests this summer and identified himself on social media as "100% antifa." This afternoon, Vice News aired an interview where Reinhoehl confessed to shooting Danielson, but claimed it was self-defense. Danielson was participating in a motorcade of hundreds of Trump supporters who rallied in Clackamas County and later swung through downtown. The New York Times ...which still proudly displays Walter Duranty's Pulitzer prize... , citing three law enforcement officials, first reported Reinoehl's death. The News Agency that Dare Not be Named and KOMO-TV also spoke to sources who confirmed Reinhoel was dead. Thurston County Sheriff John Snaza told The Olympian that U.S. Marshals fatally shot a man near Lacey. Snaza said the man left an apartment and produced a gun. The Olympian described the scene in a neighborhood called Tanglewilde: A neighbor who declined to give his name said he was walking his dog about 7 p.m. when he saw two SUVs pull up parallel to one another — one on 3rd Way and one in an alley and then heard shots, saw gun smoke from the right side and then several shots almost instantly from the left side. He said he took cover behind a parked car. He estimates he heard 30-40 shots. As the shots were firing, he said another black car converged, and then another. He saw someone performing CPR on someone, then the coroner arrived. #20 The takedown team were local LEO deputized to the Marshalls via task force arrangements. The Feds needed a warrant to make a move. They got that from Portland PD on Thursday for Second Degree Murder. It must have pained the Antifa DA to sign off on the warrant application... |

#19 I was hoping the US Marshals would try performing CPR with the bottom of his boot. |

#17 The governor is not going to be happy about this I'll bet. I'm not a lawyer, but I think you can still release someone without bail even if they are dead. |

#14 Witnesses at the scene cited an unmarked SUV parked on School Street when the vehicle converged with another on the car at the apartment. The suspect reportedly exited his car and fired what was believed to be an assault rifle at the SUVs. Bystanders noted hearing 40 or 50 shots, then officers returned fire, hitting Reinoehl. |

#13 He’s a fool for refusing to surrender: His arrest was called for by the PORTLAND Police, who would have turned him over to the DA, who would have let him go. The Feds got involved when he crossed state lines. Life is hard. It’s harder if you’re stupid. |

#11 well we can rule out recidivism now. He was caught and released by the local injustice department too often. |

#10 If you're a POS who idolizes this asshat, you're already too far gone for rehabilitation You mean like the POS hacks at VICE and The NY Times? |

#9 Once he confessed publicly to his murderous deeds he was committed to going down in a blaze of glory. I do not prescribe to the proactive murder excuse used by radicals. It is the definition of injustice. |

#7 #5 Now he's a martyr. Swell... If you're a POS who idolizes this asshat, you're already too far gone for rehabilitation. Better as a message to the rest of them: LARPing has a cost |

#3 The Portland Police Bureau had issued a warrant for Reinoehl’s arrest earlier Thursday and asked the U.S. Marshals to find and apprehend him, according to an emailed statement from USMS spokesperson Dave Oney. The governor is not going to be happy about this I'll bet. |
