#11  I suppose I needed it, even if nobody else did, Mercutio. I know saying "that's not funny" is tasteless and old-fashioned, but... I didn't find anything worth joking over here, even with gallows humor. Everything concerning Portland leaves a bad taste in my mouth. And that meant I didn't see any sarcasm.

#7  Steve Sailer talks about the "magic dirt / tragic dirt" ideation that many failed cultures embrace as a way to explain their failings.

I think it's safe to say that Portland is built on pervo dirt / idiot dirt.

#6  Mercutio, Wheeler metaphorically screwed his city. Each of the others literally "screwed" a child. And I agree with AlanC. It's not the same thing. Wheeler is the worst leader the city has ever seen. That doesn't mean he's the worst person to ever be mayor.

#5  So Adams screwed one guy. Goldschmidt one gal. How many would you say Wheeler has screwed?

#4  And here I thought LA and Sanfran were the Sodom and Gomorrah of the Left coast.

#1  There is politically bad and there is morally bad, they don't always go together but I feel they have to be evaluated on their own.
