US A-G won't seek death penalty for British ISIS execution squad members
2020-08-20
[Jpost] US Attorney General William Barr has informed British authorities the US will not seek the death penalty
if two British Islamic State
...formerly ISIS or ISIL, depending on your preference. Before that they were al-Qaeda in Iraq, as shaped by Abu Musab Zarqawi. They're really very devout, committing every atrocity they can find in the Koran and inventing a few more. They fling Allah around with every other sentence, but to hear western pols talk they're not really Moslems....
execution squad members, nicknamed the "Beatles," are extradited to the United States.
The four so-called ISIS Beatles came from England and were in charge of at least 27 hostages during their tenure, to whom they were notoriously unkind while badgering their families for ransoms.
  • The emir of the group, Jihadi John (Mohammed Emwazi) kissed a missile in 2015, betrayed by spies in Raqqa

  • Aine Davis (Paul) was jailed in Turkey in 2017

  • Alexanda Kotey (the half-Ghanaian, half-Greek Cypriot who is also in our archives as Alexanda Amon Kotey; Ringo), 35, captured by the SDF in January 2018

  • Sudan-born El Shafee Elsheikh (George), 30, captured by the SDF in January 2018
The British government has stripped both Ringo and George of their citizenship.
In a letter to Priti Patel, Britannia's interior minister, dated Tuesday, Barr said if Britannia grants a US extradition request for Alexanda Kotey and El Shafee Elsheikh, the US will not seek the death penalty and would not carry out executions if they were to be imposed.
Statesmanship, like politics, is the art of the possible.

#4  The Brits probably won't punish them so we may as well bring them over here and deal with them. We can bring them over here and make them wish they were dead.

#3  They are CIA contractors?

#2  Give them to Kurdistan Seems like a good idea BP as long as the Kurds promise justice will be delivered.

Why would the U.S. even consider extradition? Some perverse liking for the Beatles or some Islamic vestige remaining in our government left over from the Obiden admin.?

#1  They're not British...

They renounced their citizenship and are citizens of the Islamic state. Bet they even cut up their passports so they're not even BIPOs.

Give them to Kurdistan, after they have been tried for treason here in the UK.
