  • A private jet loaded with weapons and cash was stopped from leaving Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport on Saturday

  • U.S. Customs and Border Protection intercepted the plane bound for Venezuela

  • Its pilots Luis Alberto Patino, 36, and Gregori Mendez, 40, were arrested

  • They are charged with smuggling bulk cash and goods from the U.S.

  • They also face charges of illegally possessing firearms as aliens

  • 82 firearms, including a sniper rifle, plus 63,000 rounds of ammunition were found on the aircraft

  • It is not clear why the weapons were purchased

#5  There's no tailfin registration number on the plane shown in the hangar. All planes are required to have one. That's odd.
