Does Anyone Have the Courage to Indict Obama?
2020-08-02
[Townhall] I recently watched a documentary about how the U.S. government finally took down the mob (aka the Mafia). For decades, the U.S. government failed miserably. Why? Because it could only catch low-level "soldiers" in the act of a crime but never the mob boss (aka The Don).

But something changed in the late 1980s. The government applied the Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations Act, or RICO Act, to the Mafia. It proved the mob acted as a "family." And when the head of the family gave an order, he was as guilty as the "soldier" who carried it out. This allowed the government to destroy the Mafia.

Suddenly, a light bulb went off. I realized this is exactly how to indict, convict and send former President Barack Obama to prison.

I believe Obama is the biggest criminal in the history of the United States. RICO is how we get Don Obama. He was the head of a family just like the Mafia. Call it the Obama Crime Family.

Attorney General William Barr and U.S. Attorney Durham are playing in the minor leagues. They are going after the "soldiers" of the Obama criminal family. But they should be targeting the head of the snake: Obama. He gave all the orders. He oversaw and coordinated all the crime, extortion, theft, fraud and lies. And, of course, the biggest crime of all: spying. Some might call that treason.

It was all Obama. Just like in New York in the 1980s, it was all Paul Castellano and John Gotti of the Gambino family. The only difference is the crimes and audacity of Obama make the Gambinos look like Boy Scouts. Trust me, the Mafia has nothing on Obama.

Let's compare the crimes of Obama vs. the Gambinos'.

#18  Traditions are fine things if they are adhered to by everyone and continue to benefit society.

If they are ignored by one side, while being used as a shackle (or cudgel) on the other side (the side that's actually trying to preserve as many norms as possible, no less), then what is their worth?

#17  >We have a tradition here of not going after previous presidents

Obama STARTED to go after a FUTURE DEMOCRATICALLY ELECTED president.

He upended tradition, turnabout time.

Not for long if Biden is elected. Its also traditional to not file impeachment without a shread of evidence. A tradition of not allowing heresy evidence. Biden's VP will go after Trump and his supports with a vengence right after she starts her reign.

#15  They can't even indict Strzok.

#14  A Republic -- if you can keep it.

Seems to me that we as a species no longer possess the level of competence necessary to maintain the world in its current state.

#13  Doing Obama would cause a firestorm that would make the current troubles seem like a walk in the park. But, doing a few white subordinates before the election and inching up to Brennan and Comey in October would be a start. After November start on a wider shot group. I doubt Champ ever faces prosecution but in time you can hope to soil his reputation. If they steal the election in November, God Help Us and I plan to bunker in place.

You do. Don't count on them.

#11  If nothing on Trump (duly noted), then what is it? Threats against him or his family? Or, if they did have something on him and used it, then Trump might retaliate/quid pro quo. It is all so frustrating 3.5 years into Trump's presidency and zero to show for it (Clinton/Obama). Trump said in the debates that Hillary should be in jail. Well?

One can only hope Obama faces justice. We may know more after November, but don't hold your breath.

True and Hussein is deserving, but I'd bet on no.

#9  To get the former president would require an airtight case after all his lieutenants were convicted and some of them turned state’s evidence. Also a year of revelations trumpeted to the skies. and being caught in the act whipping little black boys or something.

We have a tradition here of not going after previous presidents for a reason: it allows all of them to peacefully turn over the reins of office when their term is over. If the threat of jail becomes a thing, they really will refuse to leave.

#8  The reason they have nothing on Trump is that prior to 4 years ago he was elected to nothing and responsible for nothing of public trust. The swamp has no leverage which is why Trump must go get thrown out of Whitehouse. Trumps tactical mistake was trusting RINOs to help him transition. On the first day in office he should have been given a list of every fireable bureaucrat and then fired them all from the left and right.

#7  No, and I suspect "they" have something on Trump.

Given their desperation to be rid of Trump and their outrageous actions to date, if they had anything at all on Trump it would have been used. Obama needs a military tribunal and a firing squad for his crimes against the State.

#6  It's simple extortion. No one wants to incur the wrath, boycotting, and rioting. The origins run rather deep. Page back if you will to LBJ's 'Great Society' (dem vote getting schemes) and move forward to the current day.

#5  It has been known for several years Bill Clinton was on Epstein's pedophile island with underage girls. If that doesn't get a former President charged, Obama has nothing to worry about for illegal spying on opponent campaigns.

#4  I'm just guessing that after the civil war there are going to be a number of tribunals that will merit out justice delayed, obstructed and unfinished previous to the conflict. Nuremberg set a precedent of a priori behavior being addressed and if history is precedent, maybe they can avoid the Soviet treatment of the Romanovs.

#2  No, and I suspect "they" have something on Trump. I don't know what else it can be. Clinton's & Obama ... nothing. Of course, all it might take is for the MSM to flip the switch, but that will never happen.

Apparently not. We'll be lucky if he doesn't appear on Mount Rushmore.
