#17 UNDERSTANDING NEWS MATH * C-19V Surges = 2 or more that yesterday. * C-19V Record High = 1 more than yesterday. * C-19V Highest Number so far = 1 more than yesterday. * C-19V Dramatic death increase = 1 more than yesterday. I don't look at the 200+ day TOTAL Figure. I look at day to day number in relation to the previous 7 to 14days of events, protests, activities and etc... |

#13 The most embarrassing part of Fauci's First Pitch was not his throw, or the inevitable SI cover picture captioned, "Not only smart and well dressed, Dr. Fauci can throw a 2-8 curveball with an 8 foot break." was his total lack of mask discipline. Crikey, its like he had 5 minutes total experience in one. I was told Tom Hanks and his wife had it. They just jet-setted to Greece for a Summer Va-Cay. Of course it could be meflu or a false positive, but say he had it, why leave the house for Outbreak Land? Even if he didn't get it, he is in that danger category on account of his age and whatever Hollywood Lifestyle has done - he may not be a Depp, but I don't see how you sell Bachelor Party being a total square either. What I'm getting at is the very people who should and can take this very seriously, are not even trying to. Ridiculous. |

#11 And, one more. Doesn't the semantic trope go "You don't have COVID-19, that's the virus. You have a SARS-CoV-2 infection." Being as we are all trying to be accurate and precise. And all... |

#10 Oh, and I don't play or watch baseball, so maybe that's the source of the confusion? |

#9 Big story in the Dallas News last week - a ball player tested positive and was kept out for nearly two weeks when he tested positive. About paragraph 47, you found out he had a mild case, felt a little feverish for two or three days. Two days of symptoms, but two weeks out of action, until he had two negative tests. Cases are scary. Worldometer notes 99% of the cases are mild - worldwide. Not so scary. |

#8 I don't recall ever saying that in a comment here. I live next door to a woman who is an administrator at a PCH that has been affected by COVID cases, so I know someone who knows people who have tested positive. I have a cousin who's an executive VP at a major hospital concern. He's told me about cases in the system he's employed by, so again, I know people who know people. You are clearly confusing me with other commenters here who I myself don't think are lying either, regardless of who tries to put what words in their mouths. |

#6 Incidentally, according to worldometer, there are no plateauing in California, Florida, or Arizona. There is a possibility in Texas - but it'll take several days to be sure. And Texas has a mask mandate. |
