| #1 Not exactly. Consulate Wuhan was the only one that closed. There was a large scale reduction in both staff and family across Mission China (Beijing, Chengdu, Guangzhou, Shanghai, Shenyang, and Wuhan). Non-emergency staff and adult family members were given the option to return to the US. Family members under the age of 18 were ordered to leave. Mission China staff and family members have been slowly returning over that past few weeks. Chengdu remained open albeit in a reduced capacity. |
