#20  I am a bit suspicious about the second photograph.

That said, if I remember my tables right and perhaps you engineers can correct or elaborate, concrete is not known for its tensile strength, and even less for its elasticity to bend back into shape.

A mile and change stretch of dam being slightly out of place would be Big Trouble in Larger China.

Like that scene at the end of Force 10 from Navarone - the dam is broken, now its just nature taking its course.

#19  10,000 yrs to 1,000 yrs to 100 yrs to 17 years? Just like most crap made in China; you really get less than the already low price paid.

#18  Official Chicom numbers re Wuhan disease as of 7/22/20:

83,707 cases / 4,634 deaths

Why should anyone trust their information concerning the flood?

#17  What does the WHO say about this? "Looks like a healthy situation to me, Bob."

#16  Given the enormous worldwide impacts if the dam fails, and the obvious downstream flooding that must be occurring, why WBA’s this been invisible in the MSM? A google news search yesterday turned up next to nothing about the current situation.

#13  Assuming Frank's pic is accurate, the "dam" appears to be a lost cause.

"No, no! we designed it to be all foldy!" /CCP

#12  I think KBK is right. The "before" image shows kinks in the same places as the "after." The angles differ, so it's hard to see changes.

Do we have sat photos of the TGD? Based on the Chicoms track record of lying understatement, "deformed slightly" means washed away.
