| #2 Trump had explicitly threatened Iran with retaliation in case of an attack on US forces. When the Iranian attack happened the US stood down however, while Iran downed the Ukrainian plane. If there had been any US military action in Iranian air space the blame would have fallen on the US, notwithstanding the facts. |
