| #8 I have not heard that one, but I'm on the other side of the valley that the CHAD responders are on. Where there is fire, there are police, and we see how they are getting treated right now. And of course the potential for the European Model of deliberate fires to purposefully ambush firefighters. We are starting to see EMTs being harassed; many cities use fire fighters in an EMT capacity. If enough of the pros go with ballistic protection, and enough serious injury is avoided, I could see a NFPA Guideline for Equipment in Civil Unrest Zone or something. |
