attacked the security forces, said sources.
"The highway was closed to traffic for several hours and four Afghan forces humvees were also damaged in the fighting," sources added.
Local security officials did not provide details on the casualties of the security forces in the festivities.
Nabiullah Nabi, a military commander in Baghlan, said that the Taliban have also suffered of casualties in the festivities but there is no exact report yet.
The Taliban has not yet commented on the festivities.
