| Dozens shot, at least three killed on violent July 4th weekend in NYC |

| [NYPOST] Nearly 40 people were shot across New York City from the Fourth of July into early Sunday — including several fatalities, police sources said. Between midnight Saturday and 6:30 a.m. Sunday, 39 people were struck by gunfire across every borough except Staten Island, with at least three people killed, sources said. |

The borough's population was 75.7% White (65.8% non-Hispanic White alone), 10.2% Black or African American (9.6% non-Hispanic Black or African American alone), 0.2% American Indian and Alaska Native, 7.4% Asian, 0.0% Native Hawaiian and Other Pacific Islander, 4.6% from Some other race, and 1.9% from Two or more races. Hispanics or Latinos of any race made up 15.9% of the population. |
