2020-06-30 |
[ALMASDARNEWS] The Iraqi security forces confirmed on Monday, the release of members of Kataeb Hezbollah, who were arrested by the forces of the anti-terrorist agency a few days ago. Citing Iraqi security sources, RT quoted them as saying: "the elements who were arrested last Friday night were released today." Last Friday, the Iraqi security forces raided the headquarters of Kataeb Hezbollah in Baghdad; this resulted in the arrest of 14 members. The security operation was carried out in response to several Katyusha rocket attacks on the Baghdad Airport and a number of other installations. While Kataeb Hezbollah has not grabbed credit for these attacks, the Iraqi security forces reportedly tracked the launching points to the group’s positions.
