  • Police arrested a Bronx man on Thursday for allegedly walking down the street wearing a bulletproof vest and carrying a grenade launcher

  • Officers from the 46th Precinct noticed Edison Cruz, 23, walking near Andrews Avenue and 179th Street in University Heights around 11am on Thursday

  • Cruz was arrested soon after and his apartment was searched by the NYPD

  • Various firearms and manufacturing tools were found inside his home

  • He faces charges including criminal possession of a weapon, according to cops
