| [GP] Black Lives Matter greater New York Chair Hawk Newsome issued what many have interpreted as a terroristic threat during his appearance on Fox News Wednesday evening. Mr. Newsome told Fox News host Martha MacCallum that if Black Lives Matter doesn’t get what they want, they will burn the system down. "If this country doesn’t give us what we want, then we will burn down this system and replace it.. I could be speaking figuratively. I could be speaking literally. It’s a matter of interpretation." said Newsome. |

Neither slavery nor involuntary servitude, except as a punishment for crime whereof the party shall have been duly convicted, shall exist within the United States, or any place subject to their jurisdiction. Section 2. Congress shall have power to enforce this article by appropriate legislation. In Congress, it was passed by the Senate on April 8, 1864, and by the House on January 31, 1865. The amendment was ratified by the required number of states on December 6, 1865. Something that was not possible in 1860. If you had any doubts. |
