| #7 One wants one’s commentators to respond to the facts when they develop from initial impressions. The fact is that the "noose" was always a garage pull. Shapiro's first instinct was to go with the "noose" narrative, despite the history of such things being a hoax. He did the same thing when the Covington kids story broke. First he retweeted attacks on them and then later "defended" them when the wind shifted. I wouldn't care, except that this weasel is constantly being pushed as a "conservative leader" to people who don't know any better. The Gab comment thread below was indeed vile, but that's where the post was. |

| #5 Is it two-faced to modify your position when new facts come out? That's not being two faced, that's being sane. Is it two-faced to trust experts at the scene who that this is not a hoax (NASCAR immediately jumped in and said it was a noose) even if you suspect its a hoax because every other time has been a hoax? I don't think that is. In today's day and age I think that's just being prudent. |
