| [TWITTER] The Syrian Observatory has monitored violent clashes with heavy and light machine guns in Idlib, following an attack by Huras Al-Din members affiliated the operations room “Ethbatu” on HTS checkpoints, west of the city of Idlib. Operations room “Ethbatu” managed to control the checkpoint of Al-Kunsarwa on the western outskirts of Idlib city. In the meantime, groups of HTS attacked a checkpoint belonging to operating room “Ethbatu” near the city. The clashes stopped shortly afterwards. No further information has been reported. Ambulances were heard near the sites of the clashes amid confirmed reports of casualties on both sides. A woman was also slightly injured as a result of the clashes. Reliable sources have informed the Syrian Observatory that Ansar al-Din organization, Ansar al-Din faction and other jihadist groups have mobilized their forces and deployed several checkpoints in the areas of Armanaz, Malas and Arab Said in the western countryside of Idlib, as HTS was put on high alert in its headquarters throughout Idlib province. This comes as tension grew between the two sides following the arrest of the prominent commander in the operations room “Ethbatu”, “Abu Malik al-Talli” by HTS yesterday, and another commander of non-Syrian nationality a few days ago. |
