#23  Klem Kadiddlehopper, hopefully there is a difference between economic refugees fleeing blue states and those that got mugged by reality and saw their entire liberal world view exposed as a lie.

#22  Back to the future.

Clue for the clueless: look at Detroit's trajectory in the 10 years following the 1967 Detroit Riots.

#21  Great just what those states need. More blue.

#20  Cuomo agrees.

#19  Beautifully, the days where NYC financials moved to Connecticut or New Jersey are over. Florida and Texas are the places they are going. NC is out because it's New York on the mid-Atlantic.

#18  There are 38 different uniform police forces with some sort of jurisdiction in the DC, another one is not needed just a few willing to uphold current law and live up to their responsibilities. Not sure if all businesses will be reopening with a 3 month shut down and now vandalism not cover by insurance.

#17  Well, the exodus of talented and useful citizens from NY shall begin. Cuomo and deBlasio will turn off the lights and close the door after everyone else leaves. Then we can really document lif after people in NYC.

#16  Public employee Police unions are part of the reason we are in this mess.

FIFY. It's not just bad cops.

#15  Police unions are part of the reason we are in this mess. They protect bad cops.

#14  I agree with M. Murcek. Doing it locally in DC is different than sending troops into California or NY when those governors have not so requested.
Posted by: rjschwarz   2020-06-03 12:16

#13  There's always the militia. Then watch the usual suspects will scream for troop to protect them.

#12  I like the idea of a Pentagon that's afraid to send troops against Americans. Even if they are Americans who don't believe in America.

#11  Nice to see the GOMO prefrontal lobotomy and political indoctrination program still has effects. Someone should remind the SecDef that Pentagon Generals shelf life should be no more than 18 months, and they all have a Post retirement policy bias under every bit of advice they give.

#10  'Institutional racism' - did he graduate from West Point or Swarthmore College?

#9  There is NO WAY anyone could peel this banana and come up with Esper's supporting of the President.

Wrong statement, wrong timing. He's listening to and mouthing the comments of Pentagon politician generals. Get the SOB out of there asap.

Very diappointing.
Posted by: Besoeker   2020-06-03 10:39

#8  Esper looked weak. Very disappointing.
Posted by: Rex Mundi   2020-06-03 10:26

#7  Defense Secretary Mark Esper just briefed he "does not support the declaration of Insurrection Act." Esper also mentions the "honoring of the memory of George Floyd," his West Point assignment, and American "institutional racism."

I'll give him six months, he'll be gone. We can surely do better.

#6  I dunno, man - at this point I'm inclined to say 'let the blue cities burn'.
Posted by: Raj   2020-06-03 10:11

#5  It's going to be allowed to burn itself out - literally.
Posted by: M. Murcek   2020-06-03 10:11

#4  Enough of this kak.
Invoke the Insurrection Act.
Call in the 101st Airborne and a few A-10s.

Bring it to a conclusion.

#2  ^Ask, rather, who they're going to back in the next one?

#1  Curious to know who the Union Leadership backed in the previous elections.
