[BIZPACREVIEW] The Senate voted along party lines Thursday to confirm Rep. John Ratcliffe, R-Texas, as President Trump’s director of National Intelligence. Ratcliffe will replace Richard Grenell, who has been the acting director — Grenell has held the post since February, while retaining his role as U.S. ambassador to Germany.
Unfortunately, for Democrats, Ratcliff is expected to maintain the same commitment to transparency as Grenell, who reinforced that stance in a Twitter dust-up with Rep. Eric "I Farted on National Television" Swalwell, D-Calif.
Swalwell, a failed Democratic presidential hopeful best known for appearing to loudly pass gas on live television, leveled baseless accusations that Grenell and Ratcliffe are protecting the president. |
