| #2 ^ not sufficiently Woke. Doesn't fit the narrative. Mme. DeFarge, Murdstone, Miss Havisham, Podsnap, Gradgrind, Magwitch, Steerforth, Fagin: today's equivalents are almost all Democrats. A contemporary Dickens would be to the right of Kurt Schlichter. His stuff would never be published or if published would be blacklisted by AMZN and the NYT. |
