- Arbery was jogging when he was chased by two white men, Gregory and Travis McMichael, who believed he was a burglary suspect
- Gregory McMichael is a former police detective and district attorney investigator
- The first prosecutor recused herself because McMichael used to work in the department
- The second, George Barnhill, declined to press charges, saying the pair were within their rights to make a citizens arrest and carry guns
- He then recused himself over a different conflict of interest; his son works in the DA's office where McMichael worked
- Now, a different prosecutor is insisting on convening a grand jury for the case
- But because of the COVID-19 pandemic, that stalls the justice process by months
- In the meantime, Greg and Travis remain free
