Nangarhar: Taliban commander Bashar, comrades killed after murdering 2 local soldiers |

[KhaamaPress] The Afghan forces killed a Taliban![]() students... commanders and his two comrades by conducting a retaliatory raid in response to an attack which led to the murder of local soldiers. The Nangarhar The unfortunate Afghan province located adjacent to Mohmand, Kurram, and Khyber Agencies. The capital is Jalalabad. The province was the fief of Younus Khalis after the Soviets departed and one of his sons is the current provincial Taliban commander. Nangarhar is Haqqani country.. Governor’s Office in a statement said the Taliban commander, Bashar, killed two Afghan Local Army soldiers in Bati Kot district late on Friday night. The statement further added that the Afghan forces conducted a retaliatory raid, killing Bashar and his two comrades. The Taliban group has not commented regarding the incident so far. This comes as numerous incidents involving festivities between the Afghan forces and Talibs have been reported in various provinces during the recent days. The incidents took place amid ongoing efforts to find a negotiated political settlement to end the conflict. |
