attack and retook a port from the Talibs during an operation in northern Jawzjan province.
The 209th Shaheen Corps in a statement said the Talibs were looking to launch attacks using the Kelefit Port in Qarqeen district of Jawzjan province.
The statement further added that the Afghan forces conducted preemptive raids, repelling the Taliban attack and retaking the control of the port.
The Taliban group has not commented in this regard so far.
