| Gov. McMaster orders closure of public accesses to all South Carolina beaches |

| COLUMBIA, S.C. (WMBF) ‐ South Carolina Gov. Henry McMaster issued an executive order on Monday that closes all public access points to the state’s beaches. The executive order also closes all public boat ramps, landings and other access points on the state’s lakes, rivers and waterways. "As a result of behavior observed this past weekend by the Department of Natural Resources and SLED, it has become necessary to close public access to our state’s beaches, and to close boat ramps and landings on our state’s lakes, rivers and waterways,"McMaster said. "This is unfortunate for those who chose to responsibly follow the instructions of our public health officials, but it is a necessary action to prevent the spread of this dangerous virus." According to the S.C. Beach Access and Water Quality Guide, there are more than 360 public beach access points in Horry County alone. |

| #4 I'm told the beaches and walking paths have been closed in the Florida Palm Coast region--I don't know about other parts of Florida or if it is a statewide edict. |

| #2 ...MB - the Redneck Rivera it may be, but it's one of my favorite places on the planet - has ordered all hotels/timeshares/whatever else people stay in to be closed and empty by Sunday the 27th. The bikers may be faced with very determined SCHP and MBPD at checkpoints telling them to turn around. (Have also heard that within a week or so, MB will officially announce that Bike Week has been cancelled, but the city's staying mum on that.) Mike |

#1  2020 Myrtle Beach Bike Week Spring Rally will begin on Friday, May 8, and ends on Sunday, May 17. (If not cancelled due to common sense and good judgement)Gov. McMaster taking precautions for an upcoming annual event? A significant number of MB residents schedule their vacation and leave town during bike week. Might not be an option this year. |
