[FoxNews] Rodney Howard-Browne, the pastor of The River at Tampa Bay Church, argued his congregation was essential, on par with Walmart. However, law enforcement officials, who said they tried to reason with him, disagreed, charging him with "unlawful assembly" and "violation of public health emergency order," Fox 29 reported. |

#7 WITH HIGH RISK GROUPS TAKING PRECAUTIONS. All participants will be measured for full body condoms after the service. |

#6 As long as they are not prevented during this emergency from holding virtual services that are readily available, and can go back to business as usual afterward, I don’t see that there is a legal issue. After all, teh Democratic Party and the Lions Club are equally prevented from congregating in large numbers during this time. |

#5 I'm really of two minds about this. On the one hand, I think the whole reaction is a great overreaction and that services should go on as usual WITH HIGH RISK GROUPS TAKING PRECAUTIONS. On the other hand, my church did vote to go virtual only for the foreseeable future, and it does seem to be working out tolerably well. Though it does seem weird to sit in my living room and sing along with the piano just hearing my wife and me sing. |

#2 Think of it as evangelical snake handling, but with little teensy nanometer-scale snakes. |
