| Nugaal Governor Succumbs To His Wounds Following Suicide Attack |

Puntland and the equally autonomous Somaliland seem to have avoided the clan rivalries and warlordism that have typified the rest of Somalia, which puts both places high on the list for Islamic subversion... ’s Nugaal region Abdisalam Hassan Hirsi has died of his grave wounds after AlShabaab suicide kaboom in Garowe on Sunday night. Local officials have confirmed the death of the governor to the media. AlShabaab has grabbed credit for the bombing at the cop shoppe that targeted a vehicle transporting regional officials. Somali government has vehemently condemned the attack and sent a cable of condolences to the Puntland and governor’s family. |
