The 209th Shaheen Corps in a statement said the Talibs launched an attack on Gurziwan district around 2:30 am local time on Monday.
The statement further added that the Afghan National Defense and Security Forces responded to the attack and killed Qari Minhaj and Mullah Furqani, the two commanders of the group.
The security forces also maimed 3 other holy warriors during the clash, the 209th Shaheen Corps said, adding that the security forces did not suffer casualties.
The Taliban group has not commented in this regard so far.
