gatherings in the center and Afghan Chaharsai al-burz area of Chemtal district.
The statement further added that the airstrikes killed 8 Talibs and maimed at least 5 others.
The security forces also discovered and defused an improvised bomb which the Talibs had planted between Margeen Tapa and Alam Khel areas of Balkh district.
The Taliban group has not commented regarding the airstrikes so far.
