| #4 skid because Indonesia and Pakistan have densely populated cities with sanitation and other issues (both claim to have no infections as of this morning) there could be many many people infected in a short time and many of the citizens of Indonesia and Pakistan participate in the global economy and travel widely and it will make it hard to contain |

| #1 What they lack in medical knowledge and disease treatment they plan to make up in pure brutality and it may actually be effective in containing the virus. I think this is the same type of response that will be used in NKor. What I am most worried about is a breakout into, say Indonesia or Pakistan where the leaders of the country imagine they have effective responses but where this is not the case. The virus may have mutated into a less lethal strain, at least in some places. For example, in Xinjiang province in NW China, there are officially, 76 infected and 1 death and on the Diamond Princess, 600+ infected and 2 deaths and these places do not have first rate treatment facilities. Singapore, which does have first rate treatment facilities has 86 infected and no deaths. |
