Boy Scouts File For Ch. 11 Bankruptcy Protection
2020-02-18
Congratulations, lefties, socialists & communists - you took out another American institution. How very constructive you all are...
[AP] - Barraged by hundreds of sex-abuse lawsuits, the Boy Scouts of America filed for bankruptcy protection Tuesday in hopes of working out a potentially mammoth victim compensation plan that will allow the 110-year-old organization to carry on.

The Chapter 11 filing in federal bankruptcy court in Wilmington, Delaware, sets in motion what could be one of the biggest, most complex bankruptcies ever seen. Scores of lawyers are seeking settlements on behalf of several thousand men who say they were molested as scouts by scoutmasters or other leaders decades ago but are only now eligible to sue because of recent changes in their states’ statute-of-limitations laws.
If I had time to check it out, I suspect that last part conveniently ignores recent senior personnel restructuring (i.e., hiring gay scoutmasters) that every last one of us predicted ten years ago this was where the Scouts would eventually wind up. And - I thought ex-post facto law were unconstitutional? That's why I'm calling BS on the AP 'spin' - it's not very convincing or plausible.

We don't need no stinkin' locusts - we have leftists to destroy all of our shit instead.

#11  Annnnnnnd....Time.

One article states 2013 is when openly gay scoutmasters were admitted, 2015 being official change in policy.

One would safely guess that gay scoutmasters were being admitted much earlier in a wink and nod don't ask don't tell sort of way.

And women scoutmasters. And co-ed scouting. And le$bos boy scoutmasters vs. the girl boy scouts.

#8  When they started referring to children about being transgender and all of the other sewer topics, I called their headquarters and told them they were garbage and would rot for turning away from their founding Christian Values.

Many WWII soldiers say they survived many harsh days and nights in the battle field front lines by implementing what they learned as Boy Scouts.

#7  the boy scouts were more than an American institution, they are international

various countries however have banned the boy scouts (e.g., Stalin in 1922, Hitler in 1937). A number of communist countries have 'Young Pioneer' scouting.

#1  Some of the happiest times of my childhood were spent with the scouts. Camping with my friends, hiking Indiana, Arizona, canoeing and portaging lakes in Wisconsin in a spring snowstorm, paddling the canals of old Chicago, the desert Philmont experience, starting a fire with a bow during a winter blizzard while survival camping, Cub Scout to Eagle.

My first paramilitary experience was a good one.
