| #5 Tu-160 - the White Swan - swing-wing strategic heavy bomber. Does look like the B-1. Form follows function, and all that. Costs the Russians a lot more per flight hour (money they don't have) and a crash would be very bad PR. There's no point to it, really. I dunno. Gives them some practice flying bomber sorties and suggests they *really* want to blow some stuff up and have it stay that way. A crash would be *very* bad PR. |

No doubt a storm is rising above Idilb, been going on for at least a week. Seemed a strange asset to move into the region, though it would be an effective platform for that region. Started dinking around and if I did my work, not only can this thing reach Libya, it could be loaded with anti-ship and cruise missiles. |
