#3 I've never had a problem with ESET on my traveling machine (MS Surface Pro 4) and it gets exposed to many dodgy hotel and airport networks. On my desktop I'm running Windows Insider builds and life is easier leaving it to Windows Defender backed up by a Ubiquiti EdgeMax-X router's firewall. No complaints or issues there. |

#2 Never did trust 'free' AV or firewalls. Some of the 'paid' stuff isn't much better. |
