Terrifying bodycam shows crazed man on top of a cop as he attacks him with a MACHETE before he is shot

  • The Los Angeles Police Department released bodycam footage Tuesday showing the moment the man was shot before he was about to strike an officer

  • Nathaniel Pinnock, 22, is seen in the footage after he was alleged to have robbed an auto parts store

  • The footage shows an officer using a taser, but the suspect is still able to steal a car and try to make a getaway

  • He then crashes the stolen vehicle into a patrol car and continues on foot. Police bodycam picks up showing a brief chase

  • In a horrific turn, the suspect runs toward the officer with a machete

  • Just as he jumps on top of the officer and tries to strike him, he is shot by the cop's partner
