| #3 When you are playing with big boys, you might want to put a lot of distance between you and the 'flash bang'. Gravity delivery probably isn't the optimal means to achieve that. Not to mention staying out of SAM range. I think the Ukrainians can vouch for the latter. |

| #2 ...This may be a misinterpretation of what the TO actually says - the B83 was being pulled anyways, and the B61-12 is being deployed, so earlier versions would no longer be used. Mike |
