[Independent] A police officer in Las Vegas shot a 93-year-old man for shooting a maintenance worker after complaining about water damage in his apartment.

Surveillance footage from inside an apartment building office shows Robert Thomas wearing a black coat and wide-brimmed black hat as he points a pistol at a man seated at a desk.

Mr Thomas fires a round, sending the man stumbling to the ground. Mr Thomas then stands above the man, points his gun and shoots a second time.

The Vista Del Valley apartment resident was reportedly angry with management for the flooding in his apartment and threatened staff inside the building's office on 2 January.

Body-worn camera footage shows Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department Officer Ronald Hornyak running to the building with his gun drawn.

#4  Lack of prompt maintenance have any thing to do with the legalization of marijuana ?We went on a vacation to Jamaica and we were wanting to ride some jet skis that was part of our vacation package.Every day we went to check them out and they told us it was broke but they would fix it by tomorrow mon. A week passed and it was never fixed.

#3  If Tony Soprano were still alive, he'd be in the HOA business, probably in the Buckhead area of Atlanta.

#2  I hear a lot of horror stories about condo maintenance down here. Some of these places take anywhere from $600-$2000 a month and are completely unresponsive to fixing even the smallest problems. And don't even think of going around them at your own expense. I'm glad to be a standalone home owner contracting my own maintenance according to my budget and my needs.
