[Via TTAG] [WKBW-ABC] The governor wants to require firearm parts be sold only to authorized buyers, assign them the same eligibility requirements as a completed firearm and ensure that all major parts receive a serial number. His proposal would ban individuals from obtaining major components of a firearm, rifle or shotgun online. Individuals would instead need to ship these parts to a licensed gun dealer where they would be picked up in person. #5 But wait-- there's more! From grom's link: The crisis is hardly a surprise, of course. NYPD brass have been warning of the new arrest-and-release law for weeks, and even a progressive district attorney like Albany County’s David Soares is vocally opposed to it. And as disturbing as the bail changes seem, worse is on the way: Revisions in discovery procedure mean that defendants now free on no-bail will be told where key witnesses against them live; it takes little imagination to see where that will lead: Look for witness shortages, one way or another. |

#4 Another stupid liberal proposing more stupid firearm rules that stand for nothing. Criminals will continue to obtain firearms regardless of what rules are in place. If they can't get firearms they will use machetes or knives. Most gun control laws affect law-abiding citizens. I suggest Cuomo reread the story about several armed church members who saved lives in Texas by taking down an armed felon who obtained firearms illegally. |

#3 I wonder how the number of ghost guns compares to the number of illegal guns possessed by criminals? Shouldn't bad guns possessed by bad guys be a higher priority? |

#2 His proposal would ban individuals from obtaining major components of a firearm, rifle or shotgun online Sort of run smack dab into the Constitution and interstate commerce powers of the federal government. But, he's a Donk, they don't need no stinking Constitution (till they lose the civil war and start screaming about 'rights' when they're in the docket). |
