#5 Those things have been around for almost 50 years - maybe more. I was stationed at the Pentagon in 1971 and remember reading an article of what would happen if a nuclear blast happened over the Washington Monument. (At the distance, the skin of my car would have been melted.) |

#2 ...NukeMap is actually a useful tool, but it has one fairly serious drawback - it doesn't allow for terrain effects at all, which skews the results pretty thoroughly. However, as I said, it is useful and helpful in giving you an idea of what happens when The Big One arrives. Mike |
