According to an army source near the front-lines, the Elite Republican Guard and Liwaa al-Quds are currently trying to crack the defenses of Hay’at Tahrir al-Sham, formerly al-Nusra, before that it was called something else

On Wednesday, the Syrian Arab Army launched a similar attack at the abandoned battalion base; however, they were later forced to withdraw after the jihadist rebels foiled their advance.
