Solidarity and anger expressed at ‘Together Against Antisemitism’ rally |

![]() “If Corbyn gets beaten, who will be blamed? The Jews,” Simon Cobbs of SFI told The Jerusalem Post. “It’s a lose-lose situation for us. If Corbyn gets in, we have an antisemitic Labour government, and if he doesn’t, the Jews will be blamed for it.” Cobbs spoke as thousands gathered at Parliament Square in London on Sunday for the Together Against Antisemitism rally. “All we can do is go out and say that we as a community are scared,” said Cobbs. “For me personally, even though it’s a two-and-a-half-hour drive to get there, it’s incredibly important – it’s the last chance before the election to show how angry we are.” Organized by the Campaign Against Antisemitism, the rally took place four days before the UK general election on Thursday. However, the organization made it clear this was an apolitical rally, “so that Jews and non-Jews alike can say clearly and with one voice that we stand together against antisemitism.” |
