Conservative Dan Bongino launches alternative to the Drudge Report
2019-12-06
[THEHILL] Fox News contributor and podcaster Dan Bongino launched a news aggregation website on Wednesday designed to rival the Drudge Report.

The Bongino Report comes as some Trump supporters have grown increasingly agitated with the direction of the Drudge Report, which has taken a noticeable turn against President Trump in recent months after being staunchly in the former real estate mogul's corner leading up to and after the 2016 presidential election.

Bongino began teasing his project last month. He previously revealed on social media that the new media platform will feature "exclusively conservative and libertarian content." In promoting his new platform, Bongino accused Drudge of abandoning the conservative movement and added that he "never will."

"Drudge has abandoned you. I NEVER will. Check out, and bookmark, the Bongino Report today," he wrote to his 1.3 million followers.

#16  Just avoid the juvenile comments.

Every site has ‘em, b, and ours aren’t as bad as many.

#15  Plus you and I exchanged emails recently.

Yes, indeed. I know who you are and will vouch for you, dear Whiskey Mike, even if Fred’s latest upgrade is being a little silly.

#14  Rantburg is a great site. Just avoid the juvenile comments.

#13  Wait... People go to other places besides Rantburg?

I go to Peoples Cube and Babylon Bee to get tomorrow's news today.

#12  I got the Munchkins this time. :)

Rantburg is whitelisted here. I do not anonymize. (I tried Nord VPN but they got hacked, and were slooooow anyway. So, no.)

Early years, yes. Plus you and I exchanged emails recently. Caught in a web it appears.

Are you clearing your cookies or anonymizing your IP, Whiskey Mike? Otherwise, it’s possible you found a bug in Fred’s latest update. Because I remember you from the early years — I always look to see what you have to say.

#10  "You have commented 0 times on Rantburg." Third time I've seen this in a week. You guys don't like my sense of humor? I make myself laugh. Is it the bumper stickers? Anyway.

For me it's Insty, Lucianne, AoSHQ, and Rantburg. That's it. Since maybe around 9/11 or so, but can't really remember dates.

#9  sometimes realclearpolitics.com has good opinion pieces & features/analyses.

No real straight reportage though. And much of its polling data is just noise.

#8  I've told a couple of my friends that I can stay updated on all that concerns me with only 3 sites: Rantburg, Instapundit, and Ace of Spades.

In truth I still check ESPN for the boxscores of the NFL, NBA, and MLB games, but I'm not fond of giving ESPN any publicity.

#6  #2 ...try Whatfinger as well. Ditto. An especially useful aspect is the front page of a dozen newspapers.

#5  Well Drudge still has an annoying format and links to National Enquirer type stories to keep it going.

#4  Rantingly.com

#3  Whatfinger sucks, it’s mostly links to videos from what I can tell.

#1  Drudge continued to look like MSNBC until late this evening when his content seemed to return to being a lot more conservative.

However, I like BonginoReport.com's more colorful and categorical format.
