#5  Oh, God no. No more wars for oil. Not when we're now self-sufficient. The entire Middle East isn't worth a single American life. Let the camel-fuckers choke on their worthless dirty oil.

#4  The air and naval assets we have there are already enough to take out Iran's SAM threat and air force. I could see several operator teams as well to fuck up the port facilities and head hunting, but little else is needed to defang the conventional threat that is Iran.

Non-conventional threat... different story. But embargoes are doing a number on their wallet and ability to pay for that threat.

#2  Pentagon denies.
"To be clear, the reporting is wrong. The U.S. is not considering sending 14,000 additional troops to the Middle East," spokeswoman Alyssa Farah tweeted.

In October Defense Secretary Mark Esper announced that two fighter squadrons and additional missile defense batteries were being sent to Saudi Arabia, for a total of about 3,000 new troops.

#1  May have to do this. It would be Iran's fault.

I'm hoping we won't need to do this after all, use the boomers instead.
