Newsweek Fires Anti-Trump Reporter Behind False Thanksgiving Story
2019-12-02
[PJMEDIA] Until today, Jessica Kwong was a political news hound for Newsweek. More specifically, it was her job to keep an eye on the Trump administration, the Trump family, and the 2020 race for president. This week, however, she was fired. The reason? On Thanksgiving Day, she published an article in which she claimed that the president and first lady planned to spend the holiday golfing, tweeting, "and more" some such. Sadly for her, President Trump secretly flew to Afghanistan, where he met the troops (and served them turkey).

After President Trump had landed, pro-Trump Twitter users rightfully went after her. One of her fiercest critics was First Son Donald Trump
...the Nailer of NAFTA...
Jr. "The President spends his Thanksgiving with American troops deployed in Afghanistan, including serving them lunch," he wrote on Twitter. "Meanwhile,
...back at the shootout, another bullet hole appeared in Butch's hat......
over at the Fake News..."

#6  She wrote the story her editor wanted her to. Either he should go, or noone.

#5  ...look? It is inept. That is why it is circling around the drain.

#4  She should have been fired. She phoned it in and took the paycheck and only later found out she stepped on a rake and made Newsweek, which is already circling the drain, look inept and confirmed the meme of Fake News in a very obvious way.

#3  Newsweek is sort of famous for its mistakes.

They once reported that Harry and Meghan had set up a wedding registry at Target.

#2  ...a winner on 1. She was charged with writing up something before the Prez even left and turn it in to her editor who released it. She shouldn't go, the editor and manager should be tossed for the deadline and the publication.

#1  I think she is being used as a scapegoat by Newsweek.
