| #2 In Iraq the internet shutdown began in early October 2019 Rudaw, up in peaceful Kurdistan, still posts new articles daily, but we haven’t seen anything new from Iraqi News (probably based in Baghdad) since October 9. |

| #1 In Iraq the internet shutdown began in early October 2019. Since then the internet in Iraq is sometimes open, sometimes piecemeal shut. Iran is simply doing the same thing but beginning about a month later. |
