2019-11-06 |
[Libya Observer] The Director of Benina Airport in Benghazi, Abdullah al-Shaafi has presented his resignation due to problems between the airport security services and the lack of resources, as well as the lack of seriousness of the authorities of the eastern region to look into the airports' issues. The Airports Authority of the east-based parallel government has confirmed its rejection to the resignation, saying that the "timing is inappropriate". At another level, airport administration officials have also staged a protest to demand Shaafi to go back on his resignation.
